The Fours Class is designed to continue the development of the whole child while preparing him/her for Kindergarten. The center-based classroom encourages active exploration of cognitive concepts that include math and science skills as well as language-based activities. In a print-rich environment, each child is introduced to sound-symbol associations and pre-writing skills to foster a love of and appreciation for reading. We encourage your child to develop socially and emotionally by focusing on his/her self-esteem and independence to ensure a smooth transition from preschool to Kindergarten.
This program meets Monday through Thursday, 9:00 – 12:00, with two long days built into the schedule. The long days are Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00 – 3:00. Half the class will stay on the long days and the school will determine which long days your child will be attending. The optional Extend My Week program is available on Fridays to add an extra day to the week.
This class is for children who turn four between June and December. Children who turn four between September and December will transition to the Pre-K Class the following year before moving to Kindergarten. Children turning four between June and August 31st will transition to Kindergarten.
4-Day Pre-K
The 4-Day Pre-K program is for children who will turn four between January and December. This is ideal for families not looking for a full week.
The class meets Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with two long days on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday until 3:00.
These long days allow our teachers to work with half the class to ensure greater individualized attention. There is a 1:8 teacher/student ratio in this class.
5-Day Pre-K
The 5-Day Pre-K program is for children turning four between January and May or turning five between September and December.
The class meets Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with two long days until 3:00 p.m. on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
These long days allow our teachers to work with half the class to ensure greater individualized attention. There is a 1:7 teacher/student ratio in this class.

Additional classroom activities throughout the year include classroom yoga, weekly Spanish lessons, and bi-monthly music with Kwame, an African drummer.
Lunch Bunch | Optional
Lunch Bunch offers an opportunity to extend your child’s day Monday through Thursday from 12:15 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. There is also an option to pick up your child at 1:30 p.m.
Extend My Week
This program meets on Fridays from 9:00 – 12:00 giving families the option to extend your child’s school week. The focus on Fridays will be exploring letters and numbers through fun and engaging activities, giving children another great opportunity to develop their pre-kindergarten skills.
